dress work in progress!

hello!! happy saturday everyone. this week felt SO extremely long for no reason. but hey, 15 more friday's until graduation, so yay for that. i began to work on my dress for my function in a couple of weeks, and its turning out good so far! this is how much i have done as of right now.

i honestly love how whimsical it's turned out so far. i will continue to update later when i have more completed. this week has honestly had a variety of highs and lows. like, having mystery health issues again!!!! but also i met someone who is totally great, but i don't want to elaborate because i feel like if i do, i'll jinx it, lol. though, i've been getting back into planning lately! with my little teal filofax and everything. one of my close friend's mom's gave me a bunch of those fancy paper mate pens, and i'm very happy because i have been using them in my planner. i can't believe january is almost over, and february is almost here. wow. time really flies. soon, my durango boots will be here, and i'm so excited ! i also have purchased a ghost shirt because they have been one of my favorite bands at the moment. i've also been getting back into edm? pop electronica? i dunno! "you know you like it" by DJ snake has been something i've been obsessed with lately. its very catchy, and when i was leaving school one day, this guy (around 16, 17?) driving a tahoe was playing that song, which i think is so cool, because people really are taking the 2026 is the new 2016 thing seriously, including me. i've been embracing it because the vibes were so good, and the music was great. i guess thats about it for this afternoon.

a somewhat productive monday

hello! today was somewhat boring, but kind of? productive. i had to run errands with family, so i chose to wear something nice. i'm wearing almost the same outfit from saturday, but i'm wearing tights, and i wore my new shirt i thrifted :D i also had to put a jacket on, because it was like... fifty degrees. i love my jacket though, because its brown and fluffy. very sam winchester coded. though, i do need spring. i yearn!! for it.

top to bottom:
t-shirt: thrifted
skirt: levis
tights: target
shoes: my grandma's (mudd brand)
purse: vintage vera bradley
jacket (not pictured): hollister

on our way to hobby lobby, the sunset was very pretty. the sun was actually red! my mobile phone camera doesn't do it justice but it was very pretty in real life. we went to hobby lobby, because my dad and i have been working on puzzles a lot lately. hobby lobby has a lot of trinkets, so i came across a batman keychain... and i bought it, because you can never have too many keychains. he now resides on my purse.

for dinner, i ended up having this DELICIOUS ramen, which was an absolute treat. it was chicken broth, teriyaki chicken, and tofu. its kinda basic but i love it anyways.

after dinner, my dad and i started our puzzle, which is this really cool drive-in movie theater scene. i picked it out, because i loved the colors, and the overall vibes i got from it.

thats mostly it, but i have begun to plan my outfit for the function i am going to soon. i have this purple halter dress, which is kind of boring, not gonna lie! but it looks like taylor swift's dress from the speak now tour. i had an idea to add designs on it, like these kinds of swirly types.

i think its called vector flourish, or something like that. but i had a vision! hooray for me actually being a 'real' fashion blog, where i plan on altering my clothes and such. whenever i start this, i'll mark my progress on here. :)

tear in my heart

hello hello! today it was surprisingly somewhat warm outside, and the sun was actually out, for the first time in a while. i am currently trying to make an effort in dressing up to go places, instead of wearing my usual t shirts and jeans. i put together this outfit:
top to bottom:
t-shirt: ghost webstore
cardigan: thrifted
skirt: levis
leggings: from my mom lol
shoes: my grandma's

meow! kitty photobomb :p

my terzo ring & my mary janes!

anywhoooo :) here's what else i did today.
we went downtown to go to one of the thrifts, but we didn't find the boots i wanted, which i mentioned in my previous blog.
after our losses at the thrift, we went out and got cookies. i got the pink sugar & my mom got the smores. we remembered there was a thrift store across the street we hadn't been to in a few months, so we ended up putting around there for a while. i found a twenty one pilots shirt !! from the clancy tour, which is the tour i went to in august 2024. so, i went up to the register, and like, the guy started talking to me about twenty one pilots. and then... i really looked at him, and OMG. he was so cute. he was also wearing a twenty one pilots shirt, i think from the latest album release, and he had the |-/ as a pin on his lanyard. i was GEEKED. he said he was going to the twenty one pilots thing at the movies next month, and i was like, no freaking way, me too. and he asked me what my favorite song was, and lowkey... my brain shut off not going to lie. i said mine was levitate, and he said he liked redecorate. (that kind of rhymes?) i also had a coupon so my shirt was like, two dollars. anyways, he was totally handsome. manifesting i'll see him again.
we then decided to head home, and the sunset was GORGEOUS. i think we reached "flow state" as the kids say, because we had the windows rolled down, and the music up, and the sunset was so beautiful. i felt infinite. i haven't felt this much joy in so long, honestly. i think thats about it for my night. you should go listen to twenty one pilots.

dorky girl in dorky t-shirts

i have come to the conclusion i have been dressing the same way i have since i was a tween. and... i think that might need to change, because the clothes i am wearing do not make me feel good, in all honesty. i wear baggy sweaters and big jackets, and band tee shirts all the time. does this reflect me as a person at all? i don't really think so, because i am not too fond of it anymore. maybe my frontal lobe IS developing. i have been drawn to a lot of rockabilly and twee types of styles lately. this has been one of my favorite blogs lately, and i absolutely adore how she dresses.

my only problem of not being able to advance my stylistic approach is because i think i am afraid to stand out at school, because literally everybody looks the same, wearing greige (grey and beige.), black, white, kinds of clothes. people are very repulsed by color these days. i feel like i can dress how i like when i am going out for a few hours, and not attending school. i feel like the culture lately has been very "let's not stand out", and people who do "try too hard."

i'd love to start wearing cute clothes. maybe i will actually do that this year. but, i am going to go thrifting in downtown tomorrow. i saw the cutest boots last friday and i haven't been able to stop thinking about them, so i might just get them. i'll probably blog about my saturday, too. i do need to start thinking about getting a dress for a function i'm going to in a few weeks. i have something in mind, but i still don't know the actual dresscode. i'm still excited nonetheless!

have a good weekend :)
